nocturno Posted May 14, 2004 Posted May 14, 2004 My company is located in California and I know taxes only apply in California. How can I disable taxes for the other states?. Thanks! Quote
msenefsky Posted May 26, 2004 Posted May 26, 2004 I'm having the same issue. I setup taxes per: http://wiki.oscommerce.com/helpAdminTaxes and no matter what state a customer orders from they get charged California Sales Tax. How do I fix this? Quote
Guest Posted June 4, 2004 Posted June 4, 2004 I am having the same issue. At first, I had all my products listed as "none" under the tax class. result - nobody was charged sales tax (regardless of location) then I switched the tax class to "taxable goods" Now people who aren't from my state ARE charged sales tax too. I tried to click the link posted in the post above, but it wouldnt work for me.... ...does anyone have any resources to get the tax thing to work? TIA Quote
Chris Dunning Posted June 4, 2004 Posted June 4, 2004 The link above seems to be very descriptive, walking you through the process step by step. I doubt you'll find anything more descriptive in the forums. Quote Chris Dunning osCommerce, Contributions Moderator Team Please do not send me PM! I do not read or answer these often. Guest Posted June 4, 2004 Posted June 4, 2004 I tried to click the link posted in the post above, but it wouldnt work for me.... Like I mentioned - I couldn't get the link to work :( But I did figure out what my problem was...I had my state's folder listed and set up as a tax region, but hadn't set up the parameters to "define" that state. Once we did that, we got it all working correctly (so far) :) Thanks anyway - hopefully this will help any other people. Quote
