Customize Boxes

Lauralicious

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I want to make each box have its own custom header background color and custom body background color.

i.e.

Shopping Cart Header BG: Dark Pink

Shopping Cart Contents BG: Light Pink

Bestsellers Header BG: Dark Purple

Bestsellers Contents BG: Light Purple

etc.

I've been trying all week long to figure this out, going through the Wiki Docs, completely redoing/re-editing my stylesheet.css and even trying Custom Boxes contrib, but haven't been able to make that work.

I'm desperate... can anyone provide some suggestions?

Thanks in advance,

Click on the link on the very top right of this screen "Collaborative Documentation Effort'" or go back to the home page and follow the links to the Community. Either way, the wiki is very easy to find, as is the general help section of the forums.

I don't have a clue if this will help you out, but I've modified it so it should. I used this code to make a custom box of my own and have now modified it for you. If you will see, you can simply change the "class=???" settings....

<tr>
<td>
<table border="0" width="100%" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0">
 <tr>
    <td width="100%" height="14" class="BoxHeading">
     <!-----BOX HEADING HERE----->
      Box Title Here
     <!-----END HEADING----->
    </td>
 </tr>
</table>

<table border="0" width="100%" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="1" class="infoBox">
<tr>
  <td>
    <table border="0" width="100%" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="3" class="infoBoxContents">
      <tr>
          <td width=100% class=infoBoxContents align=center>
           <!-----ENTER YOUR ORIGINAL INFORMATION HERE----->

           <!-----END INFORMATION----->
          </td>
       </tr>
     </table>
  </td>
</tr>
</table>
</td>
</tr>

Sorry, that's the best I can do, but I tried :(

Either way, the wiki is very easy to find

I'm well aware of the location of the Wiki files, which I mentioned in my original post (and have had as part of my signature).

As I stated in my original post, I have been looking through Wiki online, and my freshly printed version of it, for the past week and still have not found a reference as to how to customize each individual box seperately from the other boxes. Specifically, to change the header BG color and content BG color for each.

I'm specifically asking:

What page/section/heading is this information located in Wiki?

It can be done, but there is no easy way to do it. All of the infoboxes use the same style. You would need to create a seperate style for each box, then in each infoxbox call you would need to pass in your style for that box as a parameter.

The infobox style is found in: http://wiki.oscommerce.com/docsCatStyle

I'd rather be flying!
