Using AdSense in Banner Manager

Recommended Posts

Has anyone tried placing google adsense on their site in the footer using the OSC banner manager?

I have with no success.

I have tried by not using the banner URL sections at all and just pasting the script code in the HTML section (this didn't work).

Then, along with the above, I also copied the URL that is within the script code (http://pagead2.googlesyndication.com/pagead/show_ads.js) to the URL section of the banner manager (this didn't work either, contrary what another user on another thread said).

If you have successfully placed adsense on your site using the banner manager, can you please post here how you did it?

I think you might be having the same problem I had....

I went to the banner manager and just added the name, the group/size and the html code for adsense.

When i did this and then deleted the osC one no banner would appear... I solved this by going to

and editing this bit:

  if ($banner = tep_banner_exists('dynamic', '468x50')) {
around line 49. Where it says 468x50, u just change it to the group/size u nominated when adding the new banner.

  if ($banner = tep_banner_exists('dynamic', '468x60')) {

if i put it in the 468x60 group

And then it should work :)
