maybe I am just a bit burned out, or maybe a bit slow here but for some reason I keep seeing people refer to "catalog" in several ways. :o

 

in file paths ..... catalog/includes/languages/english/conditions.php

 

or

 

catalog/conditions.php

 

I have no folder called CATALOG :blink:

 

am I missing something here. I really want to change the look of my install to a more cozy shopping experiance and have not a clue as to what this "catalog" is refering to.

Catalog is just the name of what ever folder you installed the OSC in if it is in the root then you use everything after the catalog....

I know this question sounded like I was really dumb but........ my server company installs OSC and gives you the options of nameing a folder and I only see the name of the folder and normally installed files. They do this through a system called Fantastico, which is really a really nice system.

 

Since I posted this I figured out how to install on my own pc test server, but I could not install into a folder named the same thing as on my internet server.

 

Common sense tells me that just moving the files out of oscommerce-2.2ms2 and renaming the catalog to match the folder on my internet server will not do the trick. I wish there was a little more config setting in the standard setup.

 

But the good point is that I can at least play around and add some of the neat addons I been checking out and only mess up the test server version and not the real deal
