I have lost about 10-15 tables from my database, such as order, orders-products, etc. What happened was as follows. I was trying to install a contribution, but before doing so, made a back up of my shop. After trying unsuccessfully with the contribution, I decided to forget it, and go back to how the shop was. I went to the admin section, and then tools, and used the batabase that I had saved before making any changes with this contri. However, after restoring the back up, it all went horribly wrong !! Basically, it seems that the back up was only saving the database up the the languages file. Everything after that, ie: after the letter "L" was not saved. I have no idea how the hell this happened, but basically now my site is screwed up. All the order tabels and products, product attributes, etc are gone. I have replaceed a couple of missing tables such as whois, etc, but I dont want to do add any new tables for the orders, products, etc. I have several orders that I received earlier today, and now I cant access them. Guys, please, can anyone suggest something, anything that I can do. I am pulling my hair out here, and am getting very worked up indeed. It took me about 3-4 months to get the shop fully working, and then, with a click of the mouse, its all gone !! Thanks :( :unsure: Alex Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
zzfritz Posted May 1, 2004 Share Posted May 1, 2004 Contact your hosting company, and find out if they can restore your whole domain to yesterday's state.
