I'm working at a software licensing department where they are currently using a paper application for software orders. We're trying to implement a online ordering system where customers first login to website (with customer, billing, technical, computer node, systems information, one time only) go through catalog, then finds desired software, clicks on the software, which takes them to ordering form. when filled out, has to be approved by employee here, then we physically deliver the software(not mailing)/ftp the software to their computer. I was thinking about oscommerce to do this.. and things i need to implement are the following: 1. with register form, fields for billing, techinical, and computer, node information. 2. when software is chosen, and customer is taken to form, the form is not processed until approval 3. when approved, record the date the guy purchased the software, quantity, under which nodes, which system 4. being able to check (For each individual customer) for what they bought, and at the end of each fiscal year (around may) for us to send individual renewal license form for the softwares they bought 5. on renewal form, they might also add additional/new software they like to purchase 6. upon purchase, move softwares (zipped) to a temporary directory where they can directly download the software for certain period of time then that temporary directory is removed.. this are the ideal implementations i'd like to do, not all of them has to be implemented right away, but most of them would. i'd like to hear ideas, feasibility of using oscommerce for this particulary need,.. etc..
