Getting Rid of unused Products ?

Hi

 

Does anyone know how to deal with this problem:

An exportfile from the local database (from the real store) should be imported into my Webshop on a daily basis via EasyPopulate. When a product expires/sells out/is not available/etc it will no more be in my local database and therefore no more in my daily export/import file. but an EP upload wont recognize which products are not in stock anymore and should therefore be deleted?

 

Any ideas on how to get around this problem? I just came up with emptying the database before every upload. but thats not very neat.
