Hi guys,

2 questions.

I want to be able to set up a store in which I will be selling a bunch of products, some general (that all who enter can browse and buy), and some specific that will only be sold (and viewable) to customers that belong to a certain company - thus they must be logged in to their account to view/buy these products.

For example XYZ company wants their employees (who each have different accounts) to be able to login and buy branded XYZ products plus any general. Also company ABC want to do the same, that is have general products and branded ABC products offered to their staff to buy.

However Tom, Dick, and Harry and Mary, etc, etc, off the street can only buy the general products for sale and not see/buy any branded XYZ or ABC products.

Would this be possible with the current osCommerce solution or would major (minor?) modifications be required, and if so any hints as to where to start?!:) Also if changes re required are there any contributions out there that you know of that offer this? Yes, I have looked but from my searching (which by no means was exhaustive) I haven't seen any - but obviously that doesn't mean that something similar isn't out there.

Last question, if I wanted to store in the DB the content of the products for sale through my store.(eg that toolbox A contains 1 hammer, 1 screwdriver, measuring tape, etc). This content may be viewable on the website (this is probable), but the main reason for doing it is so that staff know than when customer Z buys Toolbox A that they need to pack a hammer, screwdriver, measuring tape in the toolbox. Would this be possible wit the out of the box osCommerce or would modifications (major, minor?) have to be made? Also any known contribution for this so I don't re-invent the wheel?

If no contributions exist, any seasoned osCommerce developers feel like a challenge and making such a contributions? I think many people would/could benefit. ;)

Many thanks!

:D
