cat box and search box on top

I am trying to put my cat box and my search box at the top inside of my header and I am having problems, it seems to always goto the top right hand corner and not where I am trying to place it at.

Just wondering, did you make sure you weren't placing it in a cell where it says "align=right valign=top"? Or a cell that is in a table that is aligned right and valigned top? many of these cells are within table that are within cells within tables within cells within... you get my point :)
