Guest Posted April 28, 2004 Posted April 28, 2004 HELLLPPP! How do I set it up so every state and country has the same tax rate (5%) without having to assign it to EVERY Country and State????
vasttech Posted April 28, 2004 Posted April 28, 2004 Why would you want to do that? You do not have to charge taxes on sales outside your state/country. osCommerce Knowledge Base osCommerce Documentation Contributions
808smokey Posted April 28, 2004 Posted April 28, 2004 I doubt you'll get too many customers willing to pay sales tax for a state they don't live in. I know I wouldn't. That's one of the benefits of buying online, No Tax. You might be better off making a "Shipping & Handling" charge or something like that. Just my .02?
Guest Posted April 30, 2004 Posted April 30, 2004 well it is a sevice and they aren't actually purchasing online. It is more of an order that is placed and payment is done when the customer picks up the rental equipment or when it is delivered. It is all done (delivery and pick up) in Maryland where there is a 5% tax. Ok...I would love to eliminate the tax all together but how do I do that OR how do I make it so it is 5% across the board no matter where they live??
