Help, I can't write to any of the files when I go through the adminisytration menu to define languages. I get the following message:

Error: I can not write to this file. Please set the right user permissions on: /usr/local/psa/home/vhosts/sublimegolf.com/httpdocs/catalog/includes/languages/english.php

Does anyone know what I am doing wrong? I tried changing the permissions on the individual files, am I in the wrong place? Please someone help!!!!!

First off you should lay off the huge fonts.

Second You probably need to change the permissions using your ftp program or cpanel. It may very well be the folders and not the files themselves or if you have changed them using cpanel try using your ftp program as some versions of cpanel have a bug that causes the permissions to not really change.

Third You should not use the online file manager the is included with osC. This will give you all sorts of problems and errors. If you read through the forum you will find this advice multiple times.

To make changes to the files use your ftp program to download them to your local computer make the changes and then upload them back up to your server.

The Knowledge Base is a wonderful thing.

Do you have a problem? Have you checked out Common Problems?

There are many very useful osC Contributions

Are you having trouble with a installed contribution? Have you checked out the support thread found Here

BACKUP BACKUP BACKUP!!! You did backup, right??
