Get 'Products' To Display Same As 'New Product'

I like the way new products are laid out, in a tabular and neat fashion with 3 across.

 

How can I get products to lay out like this? Currently they are presented in a list which is not too efficient space wise.

 

Any suggestions, even hints on where to look would be much appreciated.
