justpillows Posted April 27, 2004 Posted April 27, 2004 I have seen many, many comments on PayPal and how it does not send back information to the admin section for processing. I have run into an similar problem I had an order tonight that a customer placed and paid for via PayPal. I got notification from PayPal, but nothing showed up in the admin area for a new order. I have the return url set to www.justpillows.com/checkout_process.php (I don't use the catalog folder). However, when I placed an order on PayPal (not a test, but real), it went through fine and I got confirmation from PayPal and the order showed up immediately in the admin section. I went back into PayPal and turned on payment data transfer and placed another live order. Again, everything was fine. This is really confusing. Has anyone had similar problems? ths5949 Posted April 27, 2004 Posted April 27, 2004 Yeah I had that happen once. From what I can tell if the customer closes the paypal browser using the little x at the top of the browser, then the info doesn't get sent back to the site. The the order is not confirmed and therfore doesn't make it into the admin section. I called my customer and had her replace the order chosing check/money order as payment since I already had her payment through paypal. I am currently working on trying to add more specific instructions to the different pages so this doesn't happen in the future. Hope this helps. B)
