Adding more directions to money order/check module

Hey guys and gals,

 

I want to make changes to the checkout_confirmation.php so when you pick mail order for your payment it gives the customer directions like:

 

1. NO PERSONAL CHECKS

2. PRINT OUT THIS PAGE OR INCLUDE A HANDWRITTEN NOTE AND INCLUDE IT WITH YOUR PAYMENT

3. ETC.

 

Is there a way to make these changes? Thanks!!!

The general procedure is to add text to the file in the english directory, in this case, includes/languages/english/checkout_confirmation.php and then in includes/checkout_confirmation.php, you reference that text. So in the first file add something like

define('NO_PERSONAL_CHECKS', 'Personal checks are not allowed.');

and then in the second file, add something like

<table border="0" width="100%" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="2">
         <tr>
           <td class="content"><?php echo NO_PERSONAL_CHECKS; ?></td>
         </tr>
</table></td>

You will need to edit the second file to get the placement where you want it but that shouldn't be too hard.

I've been trying to insert this code into my checkout_confirmation.tpl.php. I have had luck with it showing up but when I do this the "order navigation" graphics and my "Confirm Order" but gets aligned to the right not center. I've been inserting the above code around 140 when this happens. Am I inserting it in the right spot and if so how do I align the table below it again to center?
