Item to dowload with Chek/Money option

I'm facing the following problem with the payment option Check/Money Order and an item to download. If the buyer uses this option (pay by Check/Money Order) he will be able to download the item even if he didn't send the check. How can I avoid that and how do I activate the download once the payment received.
