bozamic Posted April 25, 2004 Posted April 25, 2004 Hello. I have never created a website before. I have dabbled with HTML. How difficult will it be to learn how to use oscommerce?
DnJ Posted April 25, 2004 Posted April 25, 2004 Oscommerce is a great program. To get started you will need: The latest osc snapshotyou will also need to download and install mysql, php, and some sort of web server if you plan on working on this on your own computer. I use apache server - easy to configure and works great and is also used my a lot of isp's as well "One Of Life's Greatest Pleasures Is Doing What Others Say You Can't"

ozcsys Posted April 25, 2004 Posted April 25, 2004 Hello. I have never created a website before. I have dabbled with HTML. How difficult will it be to learn how to use oscommerce? I have to disagree with DnJ I think if you are unfamilar with websites and php you should use the the stable version and not use the snapshots. Another thing to do is to just read through the forum postings. You will get a lot of good information just doing that and it wil keep you from posting the same question that was just answered yesterday. The Knowledge Base is a wonderful thing. Do you have a problem? Have you checked out Common Problems? There are many very useful osC Contributions Are you having trouble with a installed contribution? Have you checked out the support thread found Here BACKUP BACKUP BACKUP!!! You did backup, right??
