register_global problem

My reg_global is set to on in php.ini but I still get error that its off when I try to install.

Heres what I am doing;

 

HTTP://127.0.0.1/catalog/install

then I get error that global is off.

 

Im doing install on my own PC using XP,Abyss server,Mysql4,php4

I have my firewall up,is this going to bother me?

Did you restart your Abyss server?

 

Also, check the full path to the php.ini file to make sure you changed the right file that php is looking at.

 

Either run a file .php file in your browser with

 

phpinfo();

 

as the only command

 

or run the built-in OSCommerce admin tool in your Admin page called "Server Info".

 

This will validate the path to your ini file.

I GOT IT!! thx,I rechecked and I had such a hard time with php that I had 2 ini files and it was reading the one I didnt set heheh.OS slid right in. I kinda like this Abyss server.Its extremely small and seems to be fast.
