A_T_8 Posted April 24, 2004 Posted April 24, 2004 hello everyone i'm new to osc and i'm glad it has already gathered such a wonderful community. i just try using osc and immediately hit the wall.... my problem is this. i upload the picture to a subdirectory (mp3) under images but i couldn't link it to the product description. the following messages always happen on top of page... Warning: move_uploaded_file(/home/estore/public_html/catalog/images/mp3/mp3.gif): failed to open stream: Permission denied in /home/estore/public_html/catalog/admin/includes/classes/upload.php on line 94 Warning: move_uploaded_file(): Unable to move '/tmp/phpsOoMj2' to '/home/estore/public_html/catalog/images/mp3/mp3.gif' in /home/estore/public_html/catalog/admin/includes/classes/upload.php on line 94 Error: File upload not saved. what happened on line 94 in upload.php? i looked into it but never understand the script, can anyone help me on this... thanks
A_T_8 Posted April 24, 2004 Author Posted April 24, 2004 please help... i try again this time using the built-in images in matrox folder, and same thing happen again... any idea would be appreciated... i love the potential of this program but it seems that it is not that user friendly...
OceanRanch Posted April 24, 2004 Posted April 24, 2004 Try changing the permissions on your images directory and all the sub directories to readable and writable by all. Do this with the chmod 777 command via your control panel or a decent ftp client. HTH Tom
A_T_8 Posted April 24, 2004 Author Posted April 24, 2004 thank you for advice... it works.. but to a certain degree. finally the product description points to the right image location. however the image never show up. after investigation i found that the file has been re-write and now the file size is 0K??? any ideas why it erased the image content? any further step i need to do? thank you
Guest Posted April 25, 2004 Posted April 25, 2004 Simplest is to edit the product via admin->categories/products and use the 'browse' feature to browse to the image file on your local hardrive, then click 'update' - this will prevent you getting a file size of zero bytes. Matti
A_T_8 Posted April 25, 2004 Author Posted April 25, 2004 i did exactly like that... 1) change folders & images permission to 777 2) using admin->catalog->categories/products-> to upload images... still get 0K file... please help...
