dotty Posted April 23, 2004 Posted April 23, 2004 I've just downloaded oscommerce and got the error "register_globals is disabled in php.ini" So I found out what this meant through this forum :) and I am STILL getting the message. I'm sure it's something quite basis but I am new to php - apart from wee things like mailing lists and guestbooks. I've done a lot of research in choosing which shopping cart system to use and oscommerce is very attractive to me. Fingers crossed that this will be the start of a beautiful relationship!! ...dotty
Mark Evans Posted April 23, 2004 Posted April 23, 2004 Did you change register globals to on? If so dont forget to restart the webserver :) Mark Evans osCommerce Monkey & Lead Guitarist for "Sparky + the Monkeys" (Album on sale in all good record shops) --------------------------------------- Software is like sex: It's better when it's free. dotty Posted April 24, 2004 Author Posted April 24, 2004 Ah yes ... that's what it was  !! So now I've restarted the server and I've got another problem! I have a content management system which I made myself using Dreamweaver MX - and now I can't log into that!! Is it to do with php versions - and does anybody know how I can get both to work at the same time without having to enable and disable "register-globals"? I'm testing these on an Apache server. thanks  ...dotty
