I've just downloaded oscommerce and got the error

"register_globals is disabled in php.ini"

So I found out what this meant through this forum :) and I am STILL getting the message.

I'm sure it's something quite basis but I am new to php - apart from wee things like mailing lists and guestbooks.

I've done a lot of research in choosing which shopping cart system to use and oscommerce is very attractive to me. Fingers crossed that this will be the start of a beautiful relationship!!

Did you change register globals to on?

If so dont forget to restart the webserver :)

Ah yes ... that's what it was  !!

So now I've restarted the server and I've got another problem! I have a content management system which I made myself using Dreamweaver MX - and now I can't log into that!! Is it to do with php versions - and does anybody know how I can get both to work at the same time without having to enable and disable "register-globals"?

I'm testing these on an Apache server.

thanks
