mattyb
Well I've been piling through all of the contribs. and done some searching and haven't come up with anything relevant. I'm looking for a contribution that will say something to the effect "Customers who have bought product X have also bought product Y." Similar to what is on amazon.com and other online stores. Is there such a thing and where is it located. Thanx in advance.
niknakgroup
You are looking for the X Sell mod, which you can set up to suggest similar/related items to your specifications - found here at http://www.oscommerce.com/community/contributions,1808 Alternatively, this mod pulls info from actual sales and suggests similar/related items which your customers have actually bought - not as precise and can bring strange results (depending on habits of your customers), but is exactly what you are after - http://www.oscommerce.com/community/contributions,1968 I have both installed, but as yet have not set up parameters for the x sell mod. Both seem easy to install and work well. Basef on sales history, the few items I have set up X sell have suggestive sold extra items, whereas the also purchased mod has yet to initiate a repeat link buy....not sure how scientific the observation is, but thought it was worth mentioning..... Good luck! ;) Please note - if I have suggested a contrib above, it doesnt mean it will work! Most of the contribs are not ones I've used, but may be useful for your particular problem.... Have you tried a refined search? Chances are your problem has already been dealt with elsewhere on the forums..... if (stumped == true) { return(square_one($start_over) } else { $random_query = tep_fetch_answer($forum_query) }
stevel
Perhaps I'm overlooking something, but isn't this a standard feature of the current osC? I certainly have it in my store and I didn't add the feature. includes/modules/also_purchased_products.php is where the logic is.
