barryseahzp Posted April 23, 2004 Share Posted April 23, 2004 I have installed the oscommerce half way and couldn't pass the second phase due to the server name needed. Currently, i am using ipowerweb web host server. Do any one know what is the database server name in this type of web host server? I couldn't get it thus causing error to continue. By the way Set the permissions for the below 2 files: /catalog/includes/configure.php to 706 /catalog/admin/includes/configure.php to 706 Also Use the installation Guild to help you along the way. From their that should create your database username, password etc. i did as my host server cpanel has this feature. it still tell me to name my own database, unfortunately, i tried to use it , the name cannot be used.
