/tmp and cache settings

Hello,

 

I was wondering if any body could tell me how I am supposed to set the settings in the cache settings in the administrations for the /tmp folder.

 

Also, do I have to create my own /tmp. folder any where in my server?

If you are on a shared hosting server, create a folder in your own site's area, then change the cache path in admin to point to that (using whatever absolute path your host requires.)

 

If you have a dedicated server and don't need to worry about other osC stores sharing /tmp, then create /tmp on your own server and make sure it is writeable by the account osC runs under.
