Guest Posted April 22, 2004 Posted April 22, 2004 I would really like to use this software BUT......I am having issues with setting this store up. First I am using Windows 2003.... doesnt really matter as I ran into the same problem with XP Pro and 2000..............I set up my osCommerce Database in MySqL without incident...... Had no problems setting up the router requests or anything...... except.........<<<<< When I was attempting to install the oscommerce software....... I got through where it says that Connection to the database was successful..........and asks me to click next........ I do that and it says that "Sql file does not exsist: /install/oscommerce.sql" What the heck is the problem???? Ive been at this all damn day !! and I expect some sort of response as my online store is my job.....and I cant make any money if I cant sell anything !!!! Ive set all the Permissions for FULL CONTROL for EVERYONE..... and still gives me the same error. Any Ideas would GREATLY be appreciated. I really dont want to have to go back to IIS if I dont have to .... and the money Ive spent on templates for this software is exspensive considering I CANT use it !! Guest Posted April 22, 2004 Posted April 22, 2004 i would install the database manually. lots have had problems on iis. so use mysql, mysql connector or phpmyadmin and run the oscommerce.sql file against your database, to create it. then just manually setup your configure.php files and away you go.
Guest Posted April 22, 2004 Posted April 22, 2004 Ive already tried that Mibble, Doesnt work...... it tells me that the file doesnt exsist. Yet..... There it is .... big as day ! and Im using Apache, MySql,PhPMyAdmin,Perl,Php.....ect........ I am a Total Noob when it comes to Php stuff..... So are there any programs that are a little more noobie friendly out there !?
