OSC & Windows XP

Hi all,

 

New to PHP & linux -, tho have used asp (and redhat once or twice). How do I work PHP in windows environment. I don't want to install dual boot as am used to windows environment.Just want to evaluate OS commerce for a client and compare against a known asp cart I have used. Is this advisable - using php over xp?

 

Also if anyone could recommend a simple hosting package with all componenets in place would appreciate it.

 

PS did search but xp seems to throw the seach feature, and windows is itself too vague a search term
