Lofi Posted April 21, 2004 Posted April 21, 2004 Please help, i had some problems on one of my sites, and then my webhotel provider fixed one problem and managed to destroy my oscommerce shop on the same webhotell. please take a look at www.steez.no and i will appreciate all the help i may get. this is very annoying since i loose lots of customers money on this mistake, and my webhotell providers who did mess it up is pretty hard to reach. so im probably ebtter off to get some help from anyone in here (they told me something about absolute / relative links) dont know what they mean though, but it sure is them who messed it up for me...

♥Vger Posted April 21, 2004 Posted April 21, 2004 A bad sort of pathway to use /home/virtual/site22/fst/var/www/html/ A good sort of pathway to use /home/virtual/yourdomain.com/var/www/html/ In the first link the site is numbered 22. If the site is moved on or off the server, or if there is a major upgrade to the server then that site number can change and the links may be broken - which is why you should always use the second sort of pathway. Hope this helps - Vger
