TXprogrammer Posted April 21, 2004 Posted April 21, 2004 I have looked through this forum for 3 days now and have not found a solution that worked, so can someone please point me in the right direction. Problem: United Parcel Service An error occured with the UPS shipping calculations. error If you prefer to use UPS as your shipping method, please contact the store owner. I have tried the following: Verified that my zip code was entered and correct in Configuration>Shipping/Packaging>Postal Code. In the ups.php file I tried changing SHIPPING_ORIGIN_COUNTRY to STORE_ORIGIN_COUNTRY and SHIPPING_ORIGIN_ZIP to STORE_ORIGIN_ZIP. It did not work. In the ups.php file I removed all other types except GNDRES and made it look like this -> $this->types = array('GNDRES' => 'Ground Residential'); but it did not help Install the UPSXML and when I get to the checkout_shipping.php page it is blank. I have run out of things to try. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Everybody be quiet, the voices in my head are trying to tell me something!

Then follow these steps: In the admin area, My COnfiguration , Shipping Zip Code = ****** In your store's info, set you address. When setting up the UPS, enter the information correctly.. But I have the following info in there: Cyclone MFG Inc. 4046 CR **** Farmersville, TX. 75442 Order Hotline 1-800-697-**** Other Inquires 972-562-**** Aziz When setting up the UPS, enter the information correctly.. Enabled = True UPS Pickup Method = RDP UPS Packaging = CP Residential Delivery? = RES Handling Fee = 2 Tax Class = --none-- Shipping Zone = --none-- Sort order of display. = 0 wizardsandwars The test server for USPS is not operational. brett Posted April 21, 2004 Posted April 21, 2004 the reason why you're not getting enough help is because there's not really enough info to help you. is the error coming from UPS or from OSC? I would recommend undoing all the stuff you've done and retrying it with a clean version.

Warning: fsockopen, pfsockopen, mysql_list_dbs, mysql_stat, ini_get, ini_get_all, ini_alter, ini_set, get_current_user, get_defined_constants, get_include_path, php_ini_scanned_files, php_uname, phpcredits, restore_include_path, set_include_path, set_magic_quotes_runtime, set_time_limit, version_compare, zend_version, getmyinode, getmypid, getmyuid, getmygid, getopt, getrusage, assert_options, assert, extension_loaded, dl, mysql_pconnect() has been disabled for security reasons in /home/.../catalog/includes/classes/http_client.php on line 330 Everybody be quiet, the voices in my head are trying to tell me something!
Guest Posted April 21, 2004 Posted April 21, 2004 setup a generic store, no modifications, absolutely at all. then make sure ups is enabled (dont change anything in the configuration) other than making sure ups is enabled. then proceed to the checkout, see if it all works.

I am still getting the following error. Mark Evans Posted April 22, 2004 Posted April 22, 2004 They have disabled fsockopen which is used to contact UPS for the quotes. You need to ask if they will enable it. If not find a new host or use a different shipping option. Thanks They are godaddy. And it was godaddy that was the issue. so I moved to powweb and everything is working great. Everybody be quiet, the voices in my head are trying to tell me something!
