racing-parts Posted April 21, 2004 Posted April 21, 2004 Hey all, I want to copy a entire shop from one server to another because their sql database is slow. Is there an easy way to do it? I've tried copying the whole directory, but it goes mad when it cant logon to the (new) sql db. Thanks in advance Mike
241 Posted April 21, 2004 Posted April 21, 2004 copy the whole directory to the new server, alter the admin/includes/configure.php and catalog/includes/configure.php to reflect the server changes such as absolute paths. Remember to also change the database server info. make a backup sql from your existing database using phpMyAdmin export feature and load this sql to your new database on the new server.
