Products URL -- need multiple pages

My store will be selling a number of personalized children's music CDs. For each CD, they have a related list of available names (unique to each title). Somehow, I need to find an easy, not-too-confusing way to display the names, by letter, for each title...

So far, I've created a new Products URL for the one CD I have online, and on it, have displayed the names that start with A. For this title, though, there are over 2000 names, and I'd rather display them letter by letter than all on one page. I can think of two possible solutions, though actually coding them may be out of my league -- I'm not sure.

Option 1: Show the 'A' names on the first page, and offer links to the remaining pages for each letter. If I go this route, one of the things I'd like to do is to offer a 'Close' link so the page closes once the customer is done looking at it. ( Right now, it's got a 'Continue' button that goes to the index -- don't want that! )

Option 2: Somehow link the names through javascript ( which I could possibly code within the product description? ) so they come up in a new popup window for each letter, which then can easily be closed so the visitor lands back on the product info page.

Can any coding guru out there tell me which way they'd suggest I go? And, if Option 2 is the better way (which I think it might be) I'd love a hint on how to set this up.

Many thanks in advance!
