gktk Posted April 20, 2004 Posted April 20, 2004 I get the following error when backing up the database using the function within the "tools" section " Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 8388608 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 1481013 bytes) in /home/www/usn-eu/admin/backup.php on line 49 Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 8388608 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 137 bytes) in Unknown on line "3 Database tool has worked fine for months and now this error, there has been no modification to the backup.php file. Any help would be much appreciated Gary
FlyingMonkey Posted April 20, 2004 Posted April 20, 2004 seems like you've run out of space, try deleting one or two of the old database backups and run it again. Or use phpMyAdmin. Most likely your question has been answered, please do a search first.
gktk Posted April 20, 2004 Author Posted April 20, 2004 tried that and still same error, currently using about 10Mb of 200mb allocation on shared server. also get same error message when trying to download file
