Backup database using tools section

Hello

Excuse the ignorance. When you back up the database in the tools area is that backing up the entire site?

What we want to do is create a site and then duplicate the site on another web site. Is that the right way to do it?

Thanks for your kind assistance.

Thanks, so the site backup is separate?

What we are trying to do is duplicate sites, any hints appreciated - excuse the ignorance.

It even only backsup a part of the database (only products and costumers?) for some reason. Better to use PHP MyAdmin to backup the whole database and in addition copy all files on the server of course. Did that several times and it works as expected.

I do not find this to be true when I backup the database I have a full database backup if that is what I choose.

No longer giving free advice. Please place deposit in meter slot provided.  Individual: [=] SME: [==] Corporation: [===]
If deposit does not fit one of the slots provided then you are asking too much! :P

Is your Osc dated try Phoenix  raising oscommerce from the ashes.

Hi 241,

is it really? Probably my mistake then.

But what do you mean by "if that is what I choose", I don't see anything to choose at the osC admin backup (using MS2).

unless your backup.php has gotten modified, it does in fact backup the complete database
