dentharg Posted April 19, 2004 Posted April 19, 2004 Hi! Can I safely modify products table structure? One of my clients is a music shop. I'd like to modify products table: I don't need product_model nor product_weight fields. I would like to have product_timelength, product_pricetag fields. The products are priced not on individual prices but on prices groups. Ie. some cds fall into group 1, others into group 2. All in group 1 having same prices, etc. Thus product_pricetag field. Can I also connect somehow this new field with prices? This probably might be done with categories but I'd like to reserve categories for different musical styles. I though also of defining a single template product for each price group and than 'somehow' link real products with these templates. Did someone make something like this or has any idea how can this be done? Any help much appreciated. Thanks!
