deferred credit card payment

i want to set up a shop that sells event packages (concert tickets, hotel, transfer etc.).

now the challenge is, that i must reconfirm the hotel rooms as i'm not able to guarantee the reservation with an alottment.

 

i would like to send a "on request" confirmation to the client with a reservation number and after processing (confirming the hotel) give him a link to a page where he can add his credit card information and pay.

 

i looked in the forum for an answer, there are many good posts but nobody seems to have a similar problem.

 

naturally a "cash on delivery" would do the job but i as the clients could come from other countries cc-payment would be easier.

 

any ideas how to implement this?

is this the way ur products are being worked? if it is oscommerce is too much of a deal for u..

 

just make the site..

 

a sign-up page (user gets email of sucess signup, u get a requret)..

 

a payment page(after the confirmation) and an email sent to the user!

 

Oscommerce is mostly for on-spot payments
