Basic Design Interface Question

I just installed oscommerce 2.2 on my server. The first thing I would like to accomplish is to remove the oscommerce banner at the top and bottom of the webpage and replace it with my banner. Where is this image file located, and what size should the image be? Second I would like to remove the manufactures dropdown box comepletely from the page as I have no use for it. Third I would like to remove the language box on the right hand side and keep the page just in english. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The image file is in 2 places. The catalog image is in Catalog/images and the other is in admin/images. Its called oscommerce gif. You can change the size of this image in the header.php file.

 

I think the size is 204 x 50 pixals.

 

As for the boxes..

 

open a file called left_column.php in catalog/includes. Look for the text relating to the box you want to remove and take that line of text out.
