Customer Details, removing state

I have my shop setup at two locations.

 

http://www.erotiskshop.dk/ - My live shop

Running on Linux

Apache/1.3.27 - PHP/4.2.2

 

and

 

http://localhost/ - My development server.

Running on W2K

Apache/2.0 - PHP/4.3.0

 

On my live server I had no problem removing the required field of state in the customer details (State = False). In denmark there are no state, therefore i do not require the field.

 

However when I on my development setup disable the state. I get an error if i try to create a new account. I can just change the flag everytime I copy, but would prefer not to.

 

This is the error:

I have tried copying the setup of the live system to the developmen system, and only changed the configuration files - To no avail.

 

Its not a severe problem, but I would like the setup between by live and development system to match as close as possible when moving sql backup files back and forth.

I have just tried copying the site (as I have tried before) from live to development, then using a merge utility (winMerge) I compared the live and the development system to each other, they are 100% alike.

 

Then I took the latest copy of the database off, live and copied it to the development system.

 

Then I went to the frontend, and tried to create a new user profile.

 

Same error as before.

 

Then into the admin interface, enter customer details, changed the state from false to true.

 

Back to the frontend, create new user.

 

No problem, new user created without any problems.

 

Only problem is that State then is a required field, and its not needed in Denmark.

I have the same problem with that I can't disable the state option in customer details.

 

I get almost the same error message as you.

 

Have you find any solution on that problem yet?
