Hi,

 

I am desperate....I sure hope someone can help. I have placed my catalog on a new server, and changed the info in the config file. Now when I click on the URL for the catalog, I get this:

 

http://childcare.net/catalog/catalog/catal...catalog/catalog

 

Can tell me what I amdoing wrong before I get shut down for abuse.

You should shut your site down until this is resolved. I counted around 50 iterations of catalog/, and prior to that there were iterations of catalog//. You need to check both config files - in includes/configure.php, and also in admin/includes/configure.php. The problem will be there somewhere.

 

I am guessing that you have set your http address to something like

 

http://childcare.net/catalog/

 

and have then set the path to catalog as something like

 

//catalog/

 

if your http address is already set as

 

http://childcare.net/catalog/

 

then your path to catalog will be '' and nothing else

Thank you! I think I've got it. I went back to the files on my original server and copied them over again inserting the new info and I'm watching the error log. So far it seems okay.

 

My only problem now is that I seem to keep pulling up the catalog and admin files on my old server....despite clearing all my temp files and cookies and rebooting my computer. So I have to resort to the IP# plus the rest of the url which doesn't give me as accurate a test. I don't want to cancell the old server contract until I know everything is okay here.
