krazyme Posted April 18, 2004 Posted April 18, 2004 Hi, i have windows iis6 on my server. my host says that smtp is running and should work fine. when i create an account customers dont get any email(i m testing) and neither when an order is placed. 2nd problem: where/which file i can go & edit the text of those each email sent to customers. like welcome emails and order conf. email. thanks u all for ur wonderfull & kind replies.
Guest Posted April 18, 2004 Posted April 18, 2004 i woulndt worry too much about editing the files until your email works. what are your settings for email in the admin area, ie from who, and what are the settings ifor the server type
krazyme Posted April 18, 2004 Author Posted April 18, 2004 oh it starts working now. i was searching on forums and found out about changing the type to smtp as i was using windows iis. i just recieved an email on my yahoo account. not on hotmail. you think its my hosting compay's filter? second, where do i edit the text for welcome and order confirmation. i didnt like the welcome text at all. thanks jhon for prompt reply.
