Category Selection

I need some help sorting out a problem im having. When i select a product series in the catalog box i want the following:

 

I want the product series to be moved to the top, and the background of the product category and every sub-product category to be have a different color.

 

or

 

I want to have an extra box not unlike the one you can see at www.komplett.co.uk. When you select a product category it will get an ekstra box at the top.

 

I would also like to remove the products counter ie. Software (23)

In your Admin part go to My Store and change Show Catagory Counts to False, and that will remove the numbers
