Guest Posted April 17, 2004 Posted April 17, 2004 COULD SOMEONE PLEASE HELP. I AM TRYING TO DO AN AFFILIATE SITE WITH 20,000 PRODUCTS ON. THE COMPANY I AM AFFILIATED TO SUPPLIES A DAILY DATABASE OF PRODUCTS, AVAILABILITY ETC AND THIS INCLUDES THE URL FOR THE IMAGES. I HAVE GOT THE DATABASE TRANSFERRED USING EASYPOPULATE BUT HOW DO I GET OSCOMMERCE TO CALL THE IMAGES FOR THE PRODUCTS FROM A URL STORED IN THE DATABASE INSTEAD OF FROM AN IMAGE NAME. I DONT FANCY DOWNLOADING 20,000 IMAGES FROM THEIR RESPECTIVE PAGES AND SAVING THEM ALL TO THE DATABASE AND THEN HAVING TO REDO THIS WEEKLY.
Guest Posted April 17, 2004 Posted April 17, 2004 use the url in your easy populate area, where you plug into the text file what the image name is. you can use html code there, it should then be able to pull the images.
Guest Posted April 17, 2004 Posted April 17, 2004 Have already tried to put url in image column but this doesnt work. It appears to be adding the url of the image to the url of my website. Maybe I am not understanding your instructions clearly enough but i cant find anywhere else to put them. Your help is appreciated though and i will continue to try to find a way around this. Maybe i will have to edit the tep_image function somehow
