Ok,Im stumped

I cant seem to find a thread or answer. Im only allowed 1 SQL db on my server which I already used for a store so I made a sub domain and copied all my OS files to the sub,the sub store catalog is working great but when I go to the admin panel in the sub store to change items it sends me back to my main domain store categories.
