dgcrisan Posted April 16, 2004 Posted April 16, 2004 Hi: would anyone know if there is a way to automatically select Credit Card as the payment option on the payment checkout page once somebody starts filling out the credit card fields? I am running oscommerce2.2 milestone1. I basically have two payment options available: check payment and Credit Card payment. Problem is that it is easy to fill in the credit card info without actually selecting the Credit Card payment option; of course, you then get a warning about selecting type of payment but it would still be nicer, useability wise, to be able to automatically select CC as the payment type with some sort of onfocus javascript routine. Thanks, Dan
♥Vger Posted April 16, 2004 Posted April 16, 2004 In the admin section, under 'payment modules' you have the option of selecting the order of preference, 0 being the highest preference, then 1, then 2 etc. If you make payment by credit card the highest preference then the radio button for this will be auto selected when the customer comes to the method of payment part of the checkout. Not sure if this is what you were looking for. Also, this applies to ms2, not sure about ms1. Hope this helps - Vger
stevel Posted April 17, 2004 Posted April 17, 2004 I don't see that happening on my MS2 store. I have credit card as 0, check as 1. Neither button is pre-selected. Furthermore, I see no code to do this. The only way a payment button can be preselected is if there is only one payment optiion.
