ivorjoseph Posted April 16, 2004 Posted April 16, 2004 Hello there, I have installed osComm the first time, and then again and again with all kinds of changes to the /paths/ and access777 rights. Everything works fine when I access osComm on the same debian machine <where I run the installation). But when I try to access it over the the local ethernet using http://192.168.xxx.yyy/catalog I get the first page (loading very slow) with underlined links but without images. Clicking on the links, the browser returns only an error message about "the localhost not allowing access" to something. Any idea, I would really appreciate any help. Thanks I.Joseph
Mark Evans Posted April 16, 2004 Posted April 16, 2004 What webserver are you using? Sounds like a problem with permissions. ivorjoseph Posted April 16, 2004 Author Posted April 16, 2004 Hello ! I am using : - Debian Woody - Apache 2.0.49 - mySql 4.0.18 - php 4.3.5 and I must admit it worked 1 time, but I couldn't reproduce it anymore (about 10 - 20 installations). Thanks Ivor.
ivorjoseph Posted April 17, 2004 Author Posted April 17, 2004 Hi, problem solved, it works now. The www address (first field) in step 4 of the installation procedure must be 'http://192.168.xx.yy` and not 'localhost`, what I have typed in all the time. Thanks for help, Ivor Joseph
