adjk Posted April 16, 2004 Posted April 16, 2004 Hi there, I just installed osCommerce but the images are not showing. None. I checked the path of them and it looks OK so I cannot determine the problem. Can someone help? Thanks!

I ftp the file to the image folder than i use the my store options and add a new catagorie but when i try to put a picture in it thru the browse feature. i find the image folder where the image is located and all i get is boxes with red xxxs in the where the pics should be. Ive read many many forom post and tryed many many things but i still have red xs and no picstures. Help. I live up here in the hills and were just simmple folk (not dumb) just simplr. so some plain english explinations would be greatly apreciated.

CHMOD 777 (or 755 - some setups prefer one over the other). That's all there is to it.

You should browse to the image file on your local hardrive rather than FTP them - edit your product then select the image using the 'browse' feature. Matti

Is there anyone out there willing to send me detailed plain english instruction on how to put pictures on the osCommerce template page. For now i will just be treeking the template page and making it my own but first i gotta learn some more basices. ive learned alot from the forums so far. but now i need somthinf specific for me as i cant get these picture file to work.
