Print VERY TOP parent category name

Hey guys,

 

I am hoping there is an easy answer to this! In my new products on the front page I want to display the very top parent category name that the product is in. i.e. if it is a lawnmower and the directories are

 

Lawn Care

--Maintenance stuff

***lawnmowers

XX THE ITEM located here

House

--some stuff

--more stuff

Garage

--some garagestuff

--some crazy stuff

 

So the new item would display "Lawn Care" somhow. Is there a way other than checking the items ID, checking its parent id, and then checking thats parent id?

 

A simple $outputTOP would be nice!!!

yes its poossiblee..

 

You will have to change the categories box to display all the products (or some)..

 

will take some work, dont know if there is a contriubtion already for it (try searching)..
