Hello,

A new store is about to go live, PLEASE IF YOU ARE OFFENDED BY <b>ADULT ORIENTED STORES</b> DO NOT GO!!

My Webpage

Please note, to get to the store, you must enter through an age verification page.

Products are currently being added via Easy Populate, so not everything we are selling is there.

Look at it more for the operability than what we sell.

Let me know the ups, downs, likes, dislikes, etc.

Yes, this is powered by osCommerce MS2

Great site. Even the age verification was well done.

The inclusion of ever "star" in the movies was a good idea, and it works well with the search function.

Great layout and colors.

I can't really think of anything that might be a problem other than a few product images not working (but you said you were adding product), good work.

My advice comes in two flavors- Pick the one that won't offend you.

Very classy design. "Less is more"... definitely. Only glitch I noticed was the "toys" link doesn't take you to a list of toys, only to more vids. S'pose it depends what you intend doing with the vhs! Great job.

thanks for the support. the toys are not loaded, so that is why that link goes that way. they will be loaded (or some) tomorrow. i am still trying to get the owner to change the dvd/vhs to one product with the attribute option to select from a radio button, but to no avail currently.

Great looking style template.

got a debug box on the age verification page..might wanna look into that...

That being said...and coming from someone that isn't into porn at all (it either makes me want to throw up or puts me to sleep...depending on the type)...even though I really only looked at the first page...I think you did an awesome job...the way the pics were done

is first-rate - very classy I must say

well you already know that I think it's awesome! :) One day when I can afford you, you'll be doing one for me too ;)

I noticed that this link on the bottom isn't working:

site design: pixelbait inc.

it takes you to the main catalog page

You rock!! :D

Thanks again for the support!

vcache, could you tell me what dates, or what may have happened when you did that?

Posted

Very nicely done John! Clever way to check bdate before you enter ;)

Love the colors, love the layout!!

Congrats!

mibble,

sorry to quibble, but the age verification is very easily bypassed (looking at the source shows /catalog/ numerous times)

other than that, the site looks great---very slick

I am assuming the age verification is not so much for authentication as it is to give the impression of doing his part to uphold the law.

Anything but an SSL encrypted login could be bypassed, I don't think thats really much of an issue :)

yes, the age verification is meant as something which helps in protecting because if an underage person purchases something, then the company gets slapped with a lawsuit for selling illegally, it doesnt work because everyone's ip address, birthdate selected, initials and time entering is logged into a file. so, if someone purchases from an ip address not logged then they went to bypass things by not going thru the age verification page and florida law will throw the lawsuit out. so yes, it is for doing part in following what the law states needs to be done, we actually do a bit more in tracking the ip with the age/initials

Nice job, John! Well laid out, classy graphics.

One thing: using MSIE6, I did get a script error on the age verification page:

Line 35

Character 1

Error: object expected

Code: 0

URL: http://www.discreetentertainment.com/splash.php

Hi John,

I think the error appeared when I clicked on the button to continue after completing the age verification requirements.

Thanks for letting me know about the errors. The SQL error was caused from some corruption after adding attributes, so I reimported the video's and that went away.

The age verification I have not been able to duplicate, so am still trying to track that one down!

We are going (hoping) to be live by tomorrow!

I have an age thing if you need - using sessions right in osc - check moviesmoviesmovies.net and click the afterdark category.

Lemme know if ya need the code. Wouldnt normally give it up but am probably doing something with the DEI people ;)

Great looking site. Just wondering - did you use a ready made template, like the ones from templateshopper, for example? If so, how easy was it to integrate into OSC?

Very nice.

I'm wondering what mechant you're using? I checked all the ones that are listed to work with OSC and none will allow you to sell Adult Material.

Any advice?

I like your site, looks really nice,

I do like the actors names also.

you should look at www.TlaVideo.com, I am sure you know of them but they are coldfusion driven site. so all of the actors are clickable to get a list of movies they are in, maybe if there was a way to add that to OSC, then that would be really cool.

great job

i LOVE your site its very classy and sexy - it disappoints me that video covers have to be so crude thought LOL it takes away from your beautiful site design
