On 2 Apr 2004, bmiller posted a contribution that solves the CA sales tax issue. The docs posted are great though do not have much in the way of explanation. In oscommerce_mod_notes.txt there are sections of code listed. Should these just be inserted at the end of the files referenced? If not, can anyone give me some guidance as to where to insert? If not, how do I go about contacting the contributor?

Thanks,

Just noticed this topic...

Bmiller's cryptic notes follow a pattern. Wherever you see // REPLACED WITH, the code that follows is the *orignial* code, and the line of code *just above* that is the *modified* code.

Unfortunately, this mod has not worked for me, nor some other people I've seen on the forums. Even more unfortunate, even though you're required to submit your email address when you add a contribution, this address doesn't seem to be available to people using the contribution. OSC would do well to change this policy.

And if anyone can find bmiller, please let me know. What the mod attempts to do is really nice, it just doesn't work.
