Guest Posted April 15, 2004 Posted April 15, 2004 The description of my products is more than 1 line and I'd like to be able to create line breaks and text effects like bold. Everything runs togeather. what code could I add so the description shows up the way I want it to?
nrlatsha Posted April 15, 2004 Posted April 15, 2004 What code? HTML code will do the trick... 9 times out of 10 its a PEBCAK Error (Problem exists between chair and keyboard) Replace that and you're fine...
Guest Posted April 15, 2004 Posted April 15, 2004 the easiest way I found to get my text to do what I wanted without having to add code everytime I listed a description for a product was to install a WYSIWYG contribution. It allowed me to insert images, copy paste text exactly like it originally looked, etc. very useful, just have to install it, but saves alot of time if entering alot of items.
Guest Posted April 15, 2004 Posted April 15, 2004 It just shows the text I type in. It seems it doesn't read the html. this is when I add a new product
♥Vger Posted April 15, 2004 Posted April 15, 2004 In your osCommerce admin, once you have set up a product category, then add the product, and when doing so, where it says 'Product Name' enter your html code e.g. <br>Product Name<br> etc. Vger

I have never come across this problem before. It SHOULD read the code. I have all sorts of html in my product descriptions, tables, images, links etc and it shows fine.
