jools Posted April 15, 2004 Posted April 15, 2004 I've asked this question before, but probably because its very simple or I'm just missing it completely....I didn't get any help. On the main page on my website I seem to have the category images and category titles at the bottom of the page! It makes it look really untidy. I would be grateful if anyone could tell me how to get rid of them, please. Jools
♥Vger Posted April 15, 2004 Posted April 15, 2004 The simplest way to get rid of all of the garbage on the homepage of osCommerce is to replace the index.php files with new index.php files. To do this, open conditions.php in the root directory and 'save as' index.php (after deleting index.php). Within the file alter the FILENAME_CONDITIONS to FILENAME_DEFAULT (two listings), then go to includes/languages/english/ and open the other conditions.php file, and again 'save as' index.php. This gives you a new index.php file which you can fill with whatever you like b inserting html into the includes/languages/english/index.php file. Warning - this also gets rid of the large text at the top of the homepage, and the 'Welcome Guest' etc. login links, but you still retain the login links in the top navbar. Vger
jools Posted April 15, 2004 Author Posted April 15, 2004 Thanks very much for your reply, I understand that may be the easiest way, although to me (who is almost usless) it seems really difficult!! But I may give it a try. Thanks again. Jools
