I just installed the Automatic Thumbnail Contribution and everything is working great except my Header image for the Categories loads blurry. It is a Special of the Month so it is the same as a small image in the product listing and both the header image and the small product listing image that is the same as the header image are blurry. If I refresh the browser it clears up. All the other images are fine except every so often one will be blurry in the specials box also. Any suggestions???

I was wondering if someone could help me with this??? I have been reading the forums and contributions and I really like this automatic thumbnail contribution that I have and I don't want to have to change over to something different if I don't have to.

Does anyone else have this contribution and if so is there something else I need to do to get it to work right?

I installed the Large image contribution for the product info page and it is blurry also unless you refresh your browser.

I was told that it looks like I am calling for the large image from a small image file. I upload a large image jpg file and the automatic thumbnail cont. does the rest to make my small images and I love this!!! Is there a step I am missing that is causing this problem?

My site is here! click on a product and you will see the large image on the product info page - if you refresh your browser it will clear up.

Thank You!

I installed this contribution and it worked fine, but every now and then I would get a fuzzy picture and have to do a refresh for the picture to become clear. I too like this contribution but have uninstalled it until I can either find a fix or find a different contribution to use. :(

Any ideas anyone?

Thank You Derek for responding! I am sorry you are having the same problem, but it feels good to know I am not the only one experiencing this. ;)

I was told to enlarge my large image on the product info page to 420X420 in the Admin Area. This worked! I need to play around with the size alittle but haven't done it yet... It was 300X300 and I guess that was too small.

The Header Category image is still blurry however.

If anyone has any suggestions for this, it would be greatly appreciated!

Thank You!

I believe the auto thumb generator works with the tep_image function so if you removed that function for the header image call then the auto thumb generator will just leave it alone. You are basically hard coding the image. If it's just one image this will work just fine.

I didn't have any problems with my header but every now and then a picture in the catalog would become very blurry as if it had loaded a very small picture and it had been stretched. A CTRL F5 or refresh of the page would sort it, but it wouldn't look good to a customer.

I have had to unload this contribution until i can either install another one or I can find out why this one is doing what it it.

I am just thinking about getting another domain and some more webspace to do some testing on, because I don't really want to keep playing around on my wifes live website and risk causing a problem.

Has anyone had a problem using this contrib and it not showing pictures in the shopping cart? I just noticed that I'm getting red X image placeholders instead of images in the shopping cart. Everywhere else the images work. When view the source of the shopping cart page, it's as if the tep_image function is returning a zero-length string, because the path to the image looks like http://www.mysite.com/catalog/images/ as opposed to how it should look which would be http://www.mysite.com/catalog/images/imagecache/image.jpg.

I haven't fully figured out that Automatic Thumbnail is to blame - anyone experience anything similar?

Thanks

Scott
