doesc osc send email after order and on sign up

hi does osc send email on sign up autometically. it sends an email v late 2 days late on yahoo acctn... any idea..

now wht abt order number...who creates the order number...does it tells the cust a order or conf no. when all goes right

If you want osCommerce to fire off an e-mail to you when a customer places an order then in the 'configuration' part of your admin panel you need to enable 'send extra order e-mails to', and then input your own e-mail address. You'll then receive an exact copy of the confirmation the customer receives. osCommerce gives out an order number, just starting from 1 and going upwards sequentially. If you want to test it out, enable payment by cheque, and run an order through yourself. Hope this helps - Vger.
