Changing the Index Listing

Hello. I have a main concern. I am developing my websites catalog online. This is my first time using OsCommerce. As you may all know me aI have been asking many questions in THIS EXCELLENT help forum ! :D and made a nice store (IMO).

I have 2 problems I need to solve with your last help :) and then I will turn into a helper (eventually).

1) well my first concern is when a user tries to login - it goes to a 404 page. (also when the user clicks continue after checkout process is done - and please make any orders with fake identity (money orders) to check process if necessary.

 

2) Design Issue: when a user clicks a categorie (any of them) it shows my items in rows (1 item per row):

::: IMAGE ::: PRODUCT NAME ::: PRICE ::: BUY BUTTON :::

(for example: click here to see

 

I would like to list those in a table of 3 columns (and however much rows it would take) and simply have the image + text under image + price next to them. (just like the way it looks for new items product list).

 

If anyone can help me with that I will be more that happy and very thankfull! these are my very last steps in completing my store. thanks a BUNCH!
